Washington DC

The Embassy Suites DC Convention Center Hotel is located in the very heart of the Nation's Capital between the White House and the U.S. Capitol and within 1½ blocks of the new Washington Convention Center. This ideal location in the city center is in the downtown business district, just seven blocks north of the National Mall. This makes visiting the Smithsonian museums, the National monuments, Georgetown, and other historic sites very convenient. There is a Metro subway station only three blocks away. Chinatown, the Gallery Place shopping and entertainment complex, and the Verizon Center are a four-block stroll away. Union Station is 1 mile from the hotel.

Getting around Washington, DC, is easy: the city has a sophisticated transit system that includes buses and subways, as well as hundreds of taxis and limousines. There are also ferries, helicopters, bicycles, and frequent Amtrak and commuter rail services. In addition, Washington, DC, is a city for walkers-it's flat, and much of it is on a grid.
