New York Marriott Downtown is located in the heart of New York's historic financial district, four blocks from Wall Street, with rooms viewing the Hudson River, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. It is located a few minutes from Chinatown, Little Italy, Tribeca, Soho, Broadway, Times Square, Greenwich Village, and The South Street Seaport. In addition to the countless number of restaurants and shopping, the area hosts many of the country's most prominent law firms, investment banks, financial service companies, and cultural institutions.
The hotel, which rises 38 stories above many of the city's most compelling attractions, boasts 500 richly appointed guest rooms with marble bathrooms, high speed Internet access, spacious work desk and two line phone with voice mail. There is also an indoor pool, sauna, 24 hour health club, and Battery Park Esplanade.
ACCOMODATIONS AND RATES
Lodging accommodations are being arranged at the New York Marriott Downtown for arrival on Tuesday, August 19, departure on Friday, August 22. Check-in time is 4 p.m.; checkout time is 11 a.m. The contracted rate is $212 per night, plus 13.375% tax for single or double rooms. The hotel will honor group room rates two nights before and two nights post conference based on room availability. Single rooms may specify one king sized bed or two double beds. Double, triple, and quad rooms have two double beds and can accommodate up to 4 persons. The New York Marriott Downtown is a non smoking facility.
PARKING POLICY
Parking at the hotel is by valet services. Parking costs are: $50 per day without in/out privileges.
AREA AIRPORTS
The closest airport to the hotel is LaGuardia International Airport, with an approximate travel time of 45 minutes. The hotel can be accessed via taxi service from the three area Airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia International Airport (LAG), and Newark International Airport (EWR). One-way taxi fares from LaGuardia and Kennedy are approximately $50.00, from Newark $80.00.
